Handwoven textured shoulder bag with raw fluffy wool, in-woven copper wire and sculptural plastic strips. The contrast between hard metallic materials and organic soft ones, gives this piece a dramatic appearance.

 The Florence handbag features Cypriot wool in its raw form as -despite the fact that it had been used locally since archaic times- there is no spinning industry currently on the island. I managed to get hold of some wool directly from a shepherd, in an effort to continue the usage of this natural resource.

The handbag has an inner fabric lining with a pocket and closes with a zip.
