Handwoven cushion cover inspired from rhythmic patterns. The black well defined stripes of the pattern which are repeated at regular intervals signify a distinct rhythmical beat. The variation of the pattern may show a differentiation in the beat, which results in a harmonious musical piece as well as a harmonious visual pattern.

Rhythm is linked with life, the heartbeat, dance, art, poetry, the sound of nature, it forms the structure and essence of everything!

The cushion cover is linked to a woven wall hanging, I made which, represented Cyprus in 2011 in an exhibition in Kaunas – Lithuania during the 16th European Textile Network Conference.
