Handwoven cushion cover with the “little man” ( anthropoui) design inspired from traditional Cypriot Phyti weaving. The natural colours of wool and cotton give the design a subtle warm appearance that makes it easy to match in many environments.

The formation of the "little man" design is very laborious. It involves counting the warp threads and placing the brown threads forming the design, among them. This is the way all Cypriot traditional Phyti woven designs are made. Nowadays only a few old women in Phyti village on the western side of Cyprus still do Phyti weaving. I am trying to preserve this old technique through this design.
